Located in the heart of Chianti, Casale dello Sparviero is a magnificent property with the hamlets of Campoperi, Casale, and Paronza. Steeped in history and legends, they boast a winemaking tradition over eight hundred years old.
Our winery and family are committed to producing excellent wines expressing the best of our incredible terroir while respecting nature.
In the early 1970s, Olindo Andrighetti, an entrepreneur from Veneto, bought the property and farm in Campoperi, near Siena. After a complete renovation, he turned it into a winery in 1972.
Olindo’s daughter Ada Andrighetti took over the farm in 1994. She then acquired the neighboring Casale property and turned it into a new operations/production center, officially establishing Casale dello Sparviero. In addition, Ada replanted all the vineyards and adopted a modern business model.
Ada’s son, Arrigo Barion, began to participate in managing the property in the years ahead.
