Arriving here in 1979, buoyed by our enthusiasm, we started by restoring the farmhouse and planting the first mass-selection Sangiovese vineyards. Since our work began, we have run the farm using an organic approach from the first harvests. Good organic cultivation puts nature and the environment’s biological health—from soil life to the balance between beneficial and harmful plants and insects—at the environmental heart of the winegrower’s work.
In 2011, Anselmo and Julien decided to take up the challenge of continuing Antoine’s work, sharing the approach adopted by the latter. Moreover, they have constantly set new goals for the winery’s technical growth through continuous agronomic and enological research. The goal is to minimize further environmental impact by maximizing the characteristics expressed by our “terroir” and our identity. Therefore, we are always looking for new, increasingly sustainable control techniques in plant pathologies. Moreover, we are working on customizing the various vineyards and vinifying the grapes in the most selective and targeted manner possible.
